Dr. Lewis is the right candidate, Mr. Sloan ought to join her team. "Pitch in" so to speak!
I love Mr. Sloan. I really do. Or perhaps I should say I love him, in principle. I love that he is a man of some faith. I love that he is outspoken on the truest of conservative values --identical -- to those I hold very close to my own heart. For instance, I'm "anti-globalism". I'm certainly "anti-UN" too. I'm NO "climate alarmist". I even tend to write off "existential global crises" as a mental disorder! At the very least, I'd call it "climate-religion". In fact, if I were to personally run for the leadership of our party? I'd pretty much have a mirrored reflection of the many facets/stances on policies that Mr. Sloan has.
And I say all this? Not to detract at all from my avid affinity for Dr. Lewis as the principle choice par excellence in whom I see as the front-runner since she is by far the correct candidate for Conservatives who desperately wish to see Mr. Trudeau defeated in the next federal election, no! Not at all! Not at all! No, my affinity for her is as solid as ever and maybe even stronger. Rather, I say all this because even I can readily admit that I am too far to the right ideologically to win in any election that possesses the unfair balance in representation for the West. So why can't Derek Sloan see that he is too? I OFFICIALLY CALL ON DEREK SLOAN TO LAY ASIDE HIS PERSONAL AMBITIONS
I would like to call upon Mr. Sloan to lay aside his personal ambitions and join Dr. Leslyn Lewis' team. I'd like to call upon Mr. Sloan's Christian character to recognize and admit that he is too far-to-the-right to win the election.
That's key, because being the leader of the party? Inherently calls for you to be able to win against the Libs in the soon coming Federal election.
I'd like to call upon him to take one for the team and ask him to honestly see that he would be rejected in the East by moderate left voters as "too far-right" of a choice for them. Mr. Sloan, turn your efforts rather to uniting with Dr. Lewis on the social-right.
Mr. Sloan, please do your livid best to ensure she gets an opportunity to run against and defeat Mr. Trudeau.
One more call, Mr. Sloan, lay aside pride and ambition. Please come to recognize that Dr. Lewis is NOT your enemy, she is NOT someone you need to spend the rest of your career viewing as a political opponent who needs a sound political smearing while you play at politics, hoping to beat her and win the leadership of the party.
As an aside, if the party picks you, you'd only sadly lose to Mr. Trudeau, not because you are bad, but because you are viewed by the moderate-left/in the East as TOO conservative! You should know this. But no, Dr. Lewis is not your opponent or your enemy, she is your sister in Christ. She is also the right choice in this race. So, I call on you openly to recognize this and do the right thing.

I see Mr. Sloan's many excellent and loyal supporters stand up for him in threads all over social media. That is wonderful. I don't mean this rudely, but you won't win against her anyways. The recent numbers from Q2 fundraising should be a strong clue, she's ahead with the people. More doners, despite fewer dollars, (by a very thin margin I might add) her ever-growing list of endorsements, add it all up. She is going to win.
My question to you is this, are you going to be someone who put his blind ambition ahead of the greater good, or are you going to do what Maxime didn't do with Andrew Scheer? Get behind what's most important! That's winning a majority conservative government!
You could help to do that. Unite. Unite, bring unity to bear on the outcome of the election. Show Canadians by your efforts, along with the support of your base and your personal influence as a Christian or leader get behind Dr. Lewis and back her up you can thereby increase the odds she prevails in the soon coming federal election!
The party needs to man up, lay aside its ambitions as a whole, and focus on the proper goal.
Let's put this in context, FIRST, defeat Trudeau!
It's just NOT about the party. This leadership race and the subsequent federal election is NOT! NOT! NOT! about the Conservative Party of Canada. It's also, not, about "Conservatism" or even the underlying politics. It's about saving our county from the rabid left agenda that has her in its diabolical death grip. The party needs to man up, lay aside its ambitions as a whole, and focus on the proper goal.
And, in some ways, I'm sorry to sound like the broken record in the room. However, that being said I'll repeat myself until you turn blue in the face, ONLY, only- only-only-only-only... etc. etc. etc. ... ...etc. only-only etc. again, ONLY can/will Dr. Lewis be the option for Eastern Conservatives, Libertarians, blue-red Tory, and moderate Liberals. Only she'd be the one anyone on the conservative spectrums should be choosing to run against Mr. Trudeau.
It should be as plain as the nose on your face. Plain to see that Dr. Lewis is the prime choice for the leadership of the CPC, further, our candidate as the only option for those reasonable and moderate left voters from the East. Given our present candidates, she's the only option they are going to find palatable. Maybe a tough pill for some to swallow, but it's true.
This should be a no-brainer. It's so obvious, I'm surprised Derek Sloan isn't already putting aside his personal ambitions for the specific intention to join Dr. Leslyn Lewis now, while it matters, while he can still use it as a broad and a wide, powerful statement in doing so. I'm especially surprised about this because as he's a genuine Christian and a brilliant man, he ought to be able to pray and to see this clearly is what he should do. Join Dr. Lewis's team, work hard with her to ensure we DO have her beat Trudeau.
